Joely Richardson left nip/tuck in the middle of last season for personal reasons, leading the writers to explain it away with yet another break-up in the McNamara household. Now that she's returning for season five, is there any hope for another reconciliation?

"Would that be the 7th?" Richardson joked. "I don’t know. It’s all under discussion right now because Ryan Murphy hadn’t done his contract and nobody else’s had been decided until his was sorted and his was sorted out about 10 days ago so everyone is just talking about it now. If it all works out, I cannot imagine that there wouldn’t be another go at reconciliation."

Of course, that's what the actors want. That's not usually what they get. "I think Dylan [Walsh] and I would love to have another go because, speaking personally, you work together that long, you become very fond of each other and when last season when we had to say good-bye to each other, it was very horrible for both of us. But it’s not a happy show. It’s not a show about happy people or happy endings so we’re never going to have a nice, easy relationship."

With the boys moving their practice to L.A., Julia McNamara would have to adjust. Richardson is enthusiastic about the change. "I think it’s really good because first of all, we were never really in Miami. I think maybe to the viewer it was because they do those exterior shots. But I think it’s perfect. I think it’s just what it needs now. It needs a different location. It needs new energy so I think it’s fantastic."

NIP/TUCK Scoop: Rosie Returning?

Following last night’s NIP/TUCK event at the 2007 Paley Festival, creator Ryan Murphy was kind enough to answer a few questions for a gaggle of reporters. At the top of the list was whether or not ROSIE O’DONNELL’S popular character from last season — Dawn Budge would be returning. Murphy confirmed that Rosie would indeed be returning and that since the show’s now set in Hollywood, we should expect to see quite a parade of famous guest stars. Stop the presses — Celebrities like plastic surgery? Who knew!

Joely Richardson, who took a break from the show to care for her ill daughter, will be back for a few episodes, although Access has learned that there will be a darker twist to her character. Murphy hints at a darker turn for Kelly Carlson's character, Kimber Kelly, as well.

Perciò Louise Veronica Ciccone, questo il vero nome di Madonna, non si limiterà a farsi ricoverare nel prestigioso centro di chirurgia estetica per un ritocco, ma vivrà una breve e intensa passione con Troy. La produzione ha confermato la notizia, aggiungendo che la diva pop è "informata e consenziente".
Madonna è una grandissima fan di Nip/Tuck, serial che peraltro non è nuovo alle ospitate celebri. Hanno già partecipato allo show tv Rosie O'Donnell, Jacqueline Bissette e Alanis Morissette. Oltre a Madonna, ospiti speciali della nuova serie saranno Nicole Kidman e Sandra Bullock.
