| Nip,/Tuck, una nomination per un nuovo premio! CITAZIONE N/T Nominated for 2008 Banff World TV Awards - Variety 04/17/08
Nip/Tuck - Episode 5.01 Carly Summers managed to snatch itself a nomination for the '2008 Banff World Television Awards'... in the 'Continuining Series' category...
Variety and Hollywood Reporter have some coverage about this, but it looks like a very tough competition since Nip/Tuck is the only US show in that particular category.

The U.K. leads the race for this year's Banff World Television Awards with 35 nominations, followed by the U.S. with 22.
Producer Jon Plowman unveiled the 100 nominees in 22 categories at a Thursday reception at the Canadian High Commission in London. Plowman will receive the lifetime achievement award at the fest, which takes place June 8-11 in the town of Banff nestled in the Rockies in Alberta.
"The high number of entries from the more than 44 countries, representing a 15% increase from last year, proves the awards' continued growth and recognition within our international television community," said Banff fest exec director Jennifer Harkness.
The awards will be doled out at a ceremony June 9. There are two new categories this year -- environmental programs and social and humanitarian programs.
The U.K. dominates in the continuing series category, with contenders including the BBC's time-traveling cop drama "Life on Mars"; Company Pictures production (for Channel 4) "Skins"; Granada's "The Street II"; and ITV Prods.' "Time of Your Life." The lone non-U.K. entry in the category is the Shephard/Robin production "Nip/Tuck," a hit on FX in the U.S. The U.K. also has three of the nominees in the made-for-TV-movies category, with Cuba Pictures' "Boy A," Tiger Aspect's "Recovery" and Neal Street's "Stuart, a Life Backwards." They will vie with Germany's "Autopilots" and "Borderline." Un premio ogni tanto non fa mai male, forza Nip/Tuck! source variety.comThanks to Cindy Cupido from Mcmahoniacs
