Il film è stato presentato in anteprima al Sundance Film Festival e verrà distribuito negli Stati Uniti dalla Fox Searchlight Pictures il 17 luglio 2009.

Questo teaser non parlato ma con voce narrante è stupendo ed è ispirato nella forma al trailer del Disprezzo di Godard. Vedere qui per credere. La stupenda canzone è Sweet Disposition dei The Temper Trap.

Primo trailer completo. Non regge il confronto col teaser ma è comunque bello. Notare la scena iniziale geniale con gli Smiths, la t-shirt di lui a metà film che ritrae la copertina di un album dei Joy Division (se non li conoscete magari avete visto Control), la divertentissima citazione di Sid Vicious e Nancy Spungen alla fine. Le canzoni sono, nell'ordine, There Is a Light That Never Goes Out - The Smiths, Us - Regina Spektor, Black Tambourine - Beck, You Make My Dreams - Hall & Oates e Vagabond - Wolfmother.
