For many years now, Dahab has been one of the favorite “mini-break” spots for the dive staff of Sharm. They can even be seen diving here on their days off due to the fantastic dive sites.
Dahab is situated 100km North of Sharm in the Gulf of Aqaba, is something of a “Key West of Egypt”. This relaxed town with a friendly atmosphere has not only cheap shopping and nice chilling out in beach-front cafes to offer, but also some of the most famous diving in Egypt. Recreational divers those into tech-diving will fulfill their desires here.
As of June 1st 2005, Colona decided to combine this fun with work and opened Colona Dahab at Bamboo House hotel.
Offering everything from intro-dives and beginners courses from the beach, to tech dives at classical dive sites such as Blue Hole and the Canyon.
Colona Dahab has (besides from all gear necessary for daily diving) complete equipment for tech diving and a gas-blending station. Courses are also offered for those wanting to learn about the more technical part of diving - from Basic Nitrox diver to Advanced Trimix diver and Advanced Gas Blender.
You can either spend a whole week here, or combine it with a few days of diving in Sharm.
