Angelina Jolie joins Another Tomorrow's advisory board

About a year after Angelina Jolie announced the launch her own sustainable brand Atelier Jolie as a capsule collection in collaboration with Chloé, the artist is determined to continue her comitment in rethinking the future of the fashion industry.
The renowned actress, director, humanitarian, and entrepreneur has joined the advisory board of Another Tomorrow, the sustainable fashion brand launched by Vanessa Barboni Hallik in 2020, as strategic advisor.
Another Tomorrow is a US fashion brand based in New York made with responsibly grown and ethically manufactured materials, and based upon principles of scalable circular economy, community, transparency, and organic scarcity.
The partnership between Jolie and Barboni Hallik focuses on a transparent exchange of knowledge, open resources, and community building, as both strive to support the transformation of the apparel industry into a more resilient and sustainable ecosystem.
“One of the biggest changes I'm seeing is that people working in sustainability are finding ways to partner, and I'm joining the Another Tomorrow advisory board because Vanessa is building a different path in this industry,” Jolie said.
“Vanessa saw all the shortcomings and roadblocks that have long been accepted as rote, and she is taking them on and modeling how to work differently. To be part of this momentum is exciting to me,” Jolie added.

“Behind every garment created there is a value chain: an intricate ecosystem including nature, energy, people, and often animals - which tend to be overlooked as part of the historically extractive and opaque fashion industry,” commented Barboni Hallik.
“Angelina’s deep humanitarian commitment and her expansive vision are a consistent source of inspiration for me as Another Tomorrow seeks to redefine a responsible and resilient future for fashion. She challenges us to expand the boundaries of possibility, to operate in an enhanced spirit of determination and collaboration. All the while fostering and supporting a community of incredible aligned artists and designers like Mimi Plange,” Barboni Hallik continued.
Another Tomorrow launched with a product line backed by unique digital IDs supporting supply chain transparency and authenticated recommerce, receiving B Corp certification in 2020, that same year when it was founded.
The brand’s first of its kind Authenticated Resale program debuted in 2021 and has maintained a commitment to accelerating circularity in the industry. It also offers a selection of denim pieces crafted in Italy and made of premium 100% organic cotton.

Another Tomorrow has been active to instigate systems change from their support for California Senate Bill 62, current active legislation in The Fashion Act and The Fabric Act. It also pointed petitions geared toward banning inhumane practices such as mulesing in the wool industry and a ban on health- and ecosystem-disruptive Chlorpyrifos insecticide used on cotton, among other agricultural products.
The brand is selling in over 50 countries and leading retail partners such as Bergdorf Goodman, Selfridges, Neiman Marcus, Saks, Goop, Net-A-Porter, Holt Renfrew, Matches, Neiman Marcus, Net-a-Porter, and Saks Fifth Avenue and more, in addition to its own e-commerce.
Another Tomorrow is defined by a value system based on three pillars–human, animal and environmental welfare–with a unique digital ID providing each piece’s supply chain transparency and authenticity.
In 2022 Elizabeth Giardina joined it as creative director, after collaborations for notable American fashion brands such as Proenza Schouler and Derek Lam.
